Charles Terry
b. Sep. 17, 1900, d. Feb. 6, 1970

Charles Terry was born in Camden in a large house located across from the Grange Hall at 306 East Camden Wyoming Ave. He served as Secretary of State under Governor McMullen and became a judge on the Superior Court and later became Chief Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court. In 1964, he was elected as Governor of Delaware. He served one term, losing to Russell W. Peterson in 1968.
