Brinkley Hill

Brinkley Hill is an area in the southern part of Camden starting around Caboose St. & going north to the intersection of Old Camden Road (Main St.) and US 13 south. In 1947, the area contained a church and cemetery for African-Americans. Shortly after 1947 the church was torn down to make way for the construction of US 13. Only the cemetery remains, containing around eight known graves. The last known burial was Hanna Gowens Pitts in 1933.
